Bocas Dink frog
Diasporus sp.
Tiny and high-pitched, it shows up at night among the leaf litter of the Bocas forest. You hear it long before you see it.
Bocas Red-eyed tree frog
Agalychnis callidryas
The most iconic frog of the American tropics. It shows up at night on leaves above the forest pools.
San Blas Glass frog
Hyalinobatrachium sp.
Its transparent belly reveals the heart and organs. It appears on leaves over the streams during night searches.
San Blas Toucan
Ramphastos sp.
It gives its name to one of the San Blas cabins. Seen and heard from the feeders and lookouts at the lodge.

Trogon sp.
One of the jewels of highland birding. Part of the 400+ bird species recorded across our lodges.

Florisuga mellivora
Visits the hummingbird feeders right outside the cabins. A photographer favorite for its blue hood.
Bocas Sloth
Bradypus sp.
A calm dweller of the Bocas canopy. With a sharp eye and a guide, it turns up hanging from the trail branches.
